Also highlighting the day were dynamite State-Championship debuts by freshman Rock Fortna and senior Jimmie Kilgannon. On the heels of dropping three seconds from his PR last week at the Meet of Champions, Fortna managed to drop yet another three seconds in his 3:20 1200 meter leadoff of the distance medley relay. Equally outstanding was Jimmie Kilgannon's 2:04.8 800 meter leg. Kilgannon dropped FOUR seconds from his personal best of 2:08 set earlier this season. Combining with seniors Austin Kline and AJ Morgan, the Bucks placed 13th in the distance medley relay State Championship with a time of 11:09.99.
Chris Berry also competed for the black and gold, placing 18th in a loaded 3000 meter run with a time of 9:11.76.
Bring on spring.
