The Central Bucks West boys XC team continued their winning ways on Tuesday against the battle of the unbeatens, handing the CB South Titans and the North Penn Knights their first losses of the 2014 season. Junior Declan McDonald (4th, 16:26 PR), senior Ian Davies (5th, 16:35), junior Brian Iatarola (6th, 16:40), and senior Trevor Belding (7th, 16:41, PR) made it an outstanding six Bucks ahead of North Penn's top man Nick DiCerbo (8th, 16:53). Senior Ben Severn (9th, 16:54 PR) closed out the scoring for the Bucks by displacing North Penn and South's 2nd-5th men.
Sophomore Mark McClenahan (10th, 16:55 PR), senior Andrew Baker (11th, 17:03), junior Logan Mazullo (12th (17:04), senior Matt Bowen (13th, 17:10 PR), senior Beckett Wilson (15th, 17:19 tied PR), and senior Tyler Press (17th, 17:25 PR) dominated the field, as West placed 13 in the top 17 overall in the three team race.
Check out the PR's page for all 17 of Tuesday's PRs. The Bucks boasted NINE upperclassmen who posted personal bests on Tuesday, which given their extensive racing experience is a special performance.
The Bucks return to action on Saturday at the Council Rock North Invitational where they will take on District One frontrunner (PA#3) Conestoga for the first time this season and see Cardinal O'Hara (PA #4) again after finishing 12 points behind them in the Briarwood Championship Race.
