Sophomore strongmen Adam Anastasiadis and Brad Baker heaved new PRs of 43' 11.5" and 36' respectively in the shotput to get things going. Anastasiadis was 7th out of 22 outstanding competitors.
The distance medley relay had season-bests all-around, as sophomore Ben Severn ran a solid 3:46 1200 meter leadoff, followed by superfreshman Ryan McIlhinney's 56.3 400 leg, sophomore Gillis Wang's 2:29 800 leg, and junior Ben Aunin's 5:16 1600 anchor.
The 4x200 followed, coming within a few tenths of their season best set just 12 days prior at Lawrenceville. Senior Greg Branch ran a sizzling 23.0 leadoff, followed by sophomore Josh Bazzano (24.3) and senior Ethan Long (24.5) on the interior legs. Senior Austin Kline showed some razzle-dazzle of his own on his 23.3 anchor leg. The three seniors all set season bests en route to their 1:35.51. The Bucks' developing elite 4x200 also impressed, featuring sophomores Andrew Baker and Jacob Cawley paired with freshmen Ryan Walsh and Devin Bradley. They teamed up to run 1:42.48, which breaks down to an average of 25.62 seconds per athlete.
The sprint medley relays ended the evening in style, with personal bests coming from freshman Ryan McIlhinney (25.1 200m), sophomore Joe Brill (25.7 200m), and freshman Rock Fortna (2:04.5 800m). Austin Kline and Ethan Long also doubled back nicely from the 4x200 meter relay with SMR splits of 23.9 and 53.0, respectively. Rock Fortna dropped three full seconds from his 2:07 PR set just last weekend at Glen Mills, as he flew by the competition with a clutch 2:04.5 anchor leg under the bright lights of the Poreda Invitational.
The Bucks return to action on Saturday at Glen Mills for their last regular-season meet.
