Ben Smith (8th), Rob Mitchell (9th), Baylor Griffin (11th), and Austin Kline (12th) rounded out the top seven for the Bucks, who ran a relaxed first mile before pressing through the field to outpace the Rams in a close contest.
The Bucks stampeded seven more consecutive runners in before Pennridge's eighth man, led by a PR from Shawn Young in 18:51, cracking the top 15 in a dual meet for the first time in his cross country career. Also impressive, Ben Aunins (16th) ran a strong first race back on a difficult course to place ninth for the Bucks in a time of 18:57.
Young and Aunins were followed closely by Jimmie Kilgannon (17th), Brandon Ciliberto (18th), Eric Zoleski (19th), Graham Thomas (20th), and Ben Severn (21st). The Bucks top 5 had a 1-5 spread of just 61 seconds today - only bettered by their second seven runners 8-14 spread of just 42 seconds!
Dean Woodrow also turned heads today with an 18-second PR on the challenging course. The sophomore's time of 20:44 placed him in the top 35 overall for the first time in his debut cross country season.
The Bucks return to action at their last invitational at William Tennent High School on Saturday.
