In the sprint medley relay, Junior Austin Kline, Senior Mike Bamford, Junior Greg Branch, and Senior Nico Metzler combined to earn 3rd place out of 37 teams, finishing behind only the facility record breaking Pennwood and Wissahickon squads. Kline, Bamford, Branch, and Metzler combined their skills at 400, 200, 200, and 800 meters respectively in the unique event to come within just 4 seconds of the school record set by last year's US#1 4x800 squad.
Senior Ben Smith doubled back from helping the 4x200 set a season best of 1:38.00 (7th out of 56 schools) on the tight track to leadoff the Distance Medley Relay 1200 meter leg in 3:29. He handed off to junior 400 meter man Ethan Long. Long passed off the stick to senior 800 meter runner Eric Zoleski (doubling back from anchoring the season-best 4x200), and senior Alex Predhome anchored with the mile (doubling back from leading off the 4x800) to secure fifth place medals for the Bucks foursome amongst a field of 34 teams.
The 4x400 meter relay finished things off right, with Shawn Young, Nico Metzler, Ben Smith, and Austin Kline combining to earn 4th place medals out of 47 teams with a time of 3:40.75.
Earning the pleasant surprise of the day was the mighty freshman class. Freshman Joe Brill, Gillis Wang, Ryan Devlin, and Ben Severn combined to place 18th out of 37 teams in the varsity sprint medley relay. Brill led off in a 60.2 400, followed by Wang's 28.4 200, then Devlin's 27.0 200, and anchored by distance star Ben Severn's 2:23 800 meter leg. Fellow freshman Josh Hashettes also impressed placing 50th out of 82 competitors in the Varsity 55 meter dash with a 7.35, coupled with a blazing 25.4 leadoff on the "B" 4x200, which placed 25th out of the entire field of 56 4x200 meter relay squads.
