Junior Shawn Young overcame a strained groin to place 2nd alongside classmate Jimmie Kilgannon (3rd) in the 300 meter intermediate hurdles. Kilgannon lowered his PR in the process with a solid time of 42.3 seconds.
Seniors Eric Zoleski (2:03.3) and Ben Smith (2:02.2) bookended juniors Austin Kline (2:00.4) and AJ Morgan (2:05.3) to a season-best 4x800 meter relay performance of 8:11.4.
Greg Branch ran a season best in the 100m dash to place 2nd in 11.2 seconds.
Nico Metzler and Jack McCauley then pushed their chips to the center of the table in the mile as they
hit splits of 63 (400), 2:09 (800), and 3:16 (1200) on their way to impressive 4:21 and 4:24 performances on the windy day. Junior Chris Berry placed 3rd with a PR of 4:37.4. Freshman Ben Severn and Ian Davies were not far behind, chipping away at the 5 minute mark with their 5:10 and 5:12, respectively.
Juniors Austin Kline and Ethan Long placed 2nd and 3rd in the 400 meter dash with times of 51.2 and 52.5, respectively.
Sophomores DhungHa Kim and Jamie Valdez teamed up with Zoleski and Branch to set a season-best of 44.7 seconds in the 4x100 meter relay.
Smith and Morgan doubled back to place 2nd and 3rd in the 800 meter run, with Morgan digging deep to set a PR of 2:03.2 on his second 800 of the day. The 800 meter run also featured freshman Jason Douple (2:07), Baylor Griffin (2:08), and Sean Bristow (2:19) along with sophomore Ben Aunins (2:11) hitting big PRs.
Valdez returned for the Bucks in the 200 meter dash with an impressive PR of 24.1 to take 3rd.
Chris Berry doubled back from the mile to take 3 seconds off of his two mile PR with his 3rd place performance of 9:54.3. Senior Rob Mitchell also PRed despite going out very quickly with a 10:33.8.
Zoleski, Smith, Long, and Kline ended things on a high-note on the track with a 4x400 meter relay win in 3:30.4.
Corey Smith, Mikey DeMarco, and Riley Owens had a banner day in the pole vault, earning more points than any other event for the Bucks. The threesome cleared 13'0", 12'0", and 11'0" on their way to placing 1st, 3rd, and 4th, respectively.
Other bright spots included another PR by freshman strongman Adam Anastasiadis in the shotput
(36'8"), a very long long jump of 19'0.5" by DhungHa Kim, a 2nd place throw of 41'9.75" in the shotput by junior sparkplug Cory Radkins, and four points in the javelin from rocketman Gesse Bryant (143') and Mr. Consistent as a stonewall Jackson Butkuss (140').
The Bucks (3-1) will rally back from today's thumping next Tuesday at their last home meet of the season against crosstown rival Central Bucks East Patriots.
