Five more runners poured in within the 19 seconds that followed: East placed another runner in 5th overall, while Pennridge claimed 4th, 6th, and 7th. West freshman Rock Fortna rolled a 30-second PR (17:21) to claim 8th overall and to nearly nip Pennridge's 2nd and 3rd men.
East's Luke Ryan led the next pack in 17:30, while West placed five more runners and Pennridge placed two more runners in before East's fifth scoring runner. Senior AJ Morgan led the way in a
season-best 17:36 despite coughing his way through the last mile, followed by Pennridge's Henderson in 17:41, West sophomore Baylor Griffin (17:47, PR), West reshman Brian Iatarola (17:49, PR), West senior Will Bone (18:04), Pennridge's Halteman (18:11), and West senior Jimmie Kilgannon (18:12).
Just outside of the scoring, West's eighth man, freshman Declan McDonald, placed ahead of Pennridge's 6th and 7th runners with a PR of 18:20.
Also noteworthy, returning standout Sean Bristow made his season debut on Wednesday. Ben-12-Pullups-Aunins also returned from tendonitus to tear it up in his first race in a month. Season bests were also put on by Jake Pregler, Liam Hay, Alex Santacecilia, Ryan Devlin, Matt Bahner, Joe Brill, Matt Belding, Austin Kline, Carter Zerweck, Jacob Cawley, Trevor Belding, Tyler Press, Brendan Warren, and Logan Mazzullo. All seven of West's freshmen PR'ed on Wednesday.
The Bucks return to action at 3:30pm on Thursday, September 27th at Lake Galena versus the North Penn Knights.
