Following suit, Jimmie Kilgannon ran the Bucks' fifth fastest time of the day in the JV A race to place 24th and earn a trophy. Also rewarded handsomely for their efforts were Ian Davies and Ben Severn, for placing 18th and 24th, respectively, in the Freshman 3k race.
Notably, the Bucks also placed 9th out of 28 complete teams in the JV A race, ahead of respected programs at William Tennent (11th), St. Joe's Prep (14th), Council Rock South (16th), Hatboro-Horsham (19th), and The Lawrenceville School (22nd). Without the help of XC standout Baylor Griffin who PRed in the Championship Race, the Bucks also placed an impressive fourth out of 13 programs that fielded enough athletes (five) to have a team score in the Freshman 3000 Meter Race, outpacing Conestoga, Great Valley, Salesianum, St. Joe's Prep, Germantown Friends, The Lawrenceville School, Haverford, CB East, and William Tennent.
Remarkably, eight Bucks broke personal records on this extremely challenging course. In the 5000 meter races: Griffin (18:50), Austin Kline (18:53), Brian Sidelinker (20:55), and in the 3000 meter race: Davies (10:32), Severn (10:41), Sean Bristow (10:50), Patrick Kelly (11:13), and Jake Doherty (11:33).
The Bucks return to action on their home course on Wednesday at 3:30 pm at Peace Valley Park as they take on the CB South Titans and look to upset the talented CB East Patriots.
