West's JV team excelled on Saturday, placing 4th out of 14 teams and narrowly missing a trophy. The JV finished ahead of Suburban One League Continental Conference rivals CB East and Pennridge. The varsity finished 7th out of 14 teams, behind state-title contenders Pennsbury, defending team State Champions North Penn, host CB East, friendly rival Pennridge, perennial District One contenders Council Rock South, and an up-and-coming-squad at Monsignor Bonner.
Outstanding performances also came from Rock Fortna, AJ Morgan, and Brian Iatarola, who finished within 10 seconds of one-another and saved the day for West's varsity squad. In the JV race, Ben Severn (20th), Beckett Wilson (42nd), Gray Wilson (43rd), Shawn Young (45th), and Anthony Soares (49th) rounded out the top seven.
The Bucks return to action on Saturday at the historic Belmont Plateau in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia. Famed childhood hangout of Will Smith, the park also hosted the 1976 USA
