Pennridge led the varsity team scoring with just 50 points, while CB East (81), Council Rock South (92), CB West (98), Upper Merion (111), Monsignor Bonner (115), New Hope Solebury (154), Neshaminy (202), Pope John Paul II (239), Archbishop Ryan (274), Lansdale Catholic (322), and the Solebury School (361) followed.
West and Pennridge dominated the team scoring in the 10 team JV race, with Pennridge edging West 36 to 38. Central Bucks East and Council Rock South tied for 3rd with 76 team points.
Junior Trevor Belding won his first cross country race on Saturday as he prevailed in the JV race over a field of 181 competitors. Belding's 17:56 personal best and victory set the tone for the Bucks as sophomore Logan Mazullo (4th, 18:16, PR), senior Ben Aunins (5th, 18:20), freshman Ben Smullen (8th, 18:25, PR), juniors Ben Severn (20th, 18:55) and Andrew Baker (21st, 18:56, PR), and freshmen Teagan Fortna (25th, 18:59, PR) all claimed hardware.
Also setting personal bests were senior Connor Baun (84th, 20:52), junior Troy Press (31st, 19:17), sophomores Ryan Hickey (137th, 22:44), Brody Johnson (73rd, 20:35), and Ryan Walsh (50th, 19:56), and freshmen Big Joe Altadonna (51st, 19:59), Mark McClenahan (58th, 20:09), and Damian Refice (75th, 20:37). West had 10 runners between the two races finish within 66 seconds of Iatorola's 17:19 leading performance.
The Bucks return to the hills of Pennridge for their next competition on Wednesday, September 18th at 3:30 pm for a double dual meet against Pennridge and CB East.
